Vegan Fried Chicken At Sol Sips

Just a few blocks away from Hartbreakers is another vegan restaurant offering another vegan version of fried chicken sandwiches. At Sol Sips I got the Chick’n Biscuits, which were battered and fried oyster mushrooms on began biscuits. The fried mushrooms were incredible, but what really made the dish was the raspberry jam BBQ sauce. It sounds slightly mad but it works, with the tangy sweetness of the raspberries really cutting through the richness of the mushrooms and the avocados. I washed it all down with a Chargie Smoothie — soursop, coconut, and lime — which was perfect for a hot summer day.
